Driving, Walking & Stairclimbing Robotic Delivery Vehicles
MISSION
Our robotic vehicles will reduce dwell time, ease the strain of delivery personnel, increase productivity and throughput, and overcome obstacles to deliver the entire way from the truck to the actual inside delivery point.
Anybody can make wheeled delivery vehicles drive.
We also make them elevate from the ground and self-board trucks, walk level up stairs, and step over obstacles.
Hurdler is developing a simple agile, highly mobile, and versatile robotic last-mile delivery vehicle that elevates to self-board from the ground onto trucks, dismounts, drives, steps over large obstacles, and walks level up stairways to deliver the entire way from the street into apartments, offices, and stores.
HURDLER'S VALUE
VEHICLE ACCESS
INCREASED THROUGHPUT
COST SAVINGS
-
Goes everywhere a person goes by foot
-
Can climb curbs, steps, & stairs with packages level
-
Can onboard and offload truck with packages level
-
Delivers entire way inside to drop-off point
-
Surmounts obstacles that are barriers to wheeled vehicles
-
Can onboard and offload truck rapidly
-
More packages per delivery
-
Fewer walking trips back to truck
-
Can lift/carry many hundreds of pounds
-
Reduce circling, dwell time, and frequent stops
-
Reduce strain and fatigue for drivers
-
Reduce need for second driver for bulky and heavy packages
-
Simpler to build and maintain (vs. humanoid robots with complex articulating joints)
We have simplified the movement of mobile robots by eliminating complex articulating joints.
Our patented combination of vertically telescoping legs, horizontally telescoping booms, and omnidirectional wheels allows for 3-D movement to surmount obstacles. In the future, robotic vehicles will “walk this way”.

READ ABOUT US
"Hurdler Motors...is designing a robotic cart that would help deliver packages to your doorstep. Its robot would ride on a delivery truck, and then dismount to navigate streets and sidewalks while carrying a small load of cargo. The Hurdler device is even designed to climb stairs to get to a front porch or entryway."
"Hurdler Motors of Boston is building a true door-to-door delivery solution using an innovative stair climbing design."
